Currently, I am sitting in my hotel room in Amarillo, TX. We are here for our Junior National Limousin cattle show. There's a weeks worth of activities for all the kids. We left Friday around midnight & arrived early Saturday morning. The day was spent setting up, washing & drying the cattle, then NAPTIME!!! Sunday the girls checked in their heifers, washed, dried & feed. Monday the girls participated in the Beef Cook-Off, our Senior group of kids did Oklahoma Idol with Cassie Upperwood & judges Simon, Paula & Randy. They were pretty funny & did a great job!! Today was the Steer, Lim-Flex & Bred & Owned show. We didn't do as good as we would have liked, but the kids are having fun with their friends. Isn't that what life is all about....FUN with FRIENDS!!! Tomorrow is the big show day which will begin at 8:00 a.m. & last all day. Jordan will show 1 heifer & Mylie will show 2 heifers tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day! Tonight we plan to eat at Saltgrass & shop at Cavender's!!
